School Admissions Policy

Surrey County Council is the admission authority for Prior Heath Infant School.  To find up to date information about the school’s admission arrangements and details on how to apply, either as part of the normal intake or during the school year, please use this link to the Surrey County Council website:

If your child was born between 1st September 2013 and 31st August 2014 you can apply for a school place from 30th October 2017 to 15th January 2018.

Visiting the school

Between September and January we run talk and tour sessions with our Headteacher, Mrs. Ellen McClelland.  These are for small groups of prospective parents who have children starting school in the Reception year group the following September.  Dates for these are set at the beginning of the school year in September and prospective parents are invited to contact the school office on 01276 25546 to make an appointment.  We also hold an Open Morning during October which prospective parents and children are welcome to attend.

If you are considering sending your child to Prior Heath, you are invited to complete and return the school’s initial registration form (PDF, 130.07 kB). This expresses an interest but does not guarantee a place. It will ensure that we contact you during the Autumn Term of the school year before your child is due to start school with information from Surrey County Council about the application process for your child’s intake, together with information about visiting the school.  We look forward to welcoming you to Prior Heath.
