COVID-19 Information & Catch-up Premium Strategy
Please find below information relating to COVID-19, including our arrangements for the re-opening of school in September, our risk assessment and catch-up premium strategy together with links to government guidance.
Earlier this year, the government announced £1 billion of funding to support children and young people to catch up lost time after school closure. This is especially important for the most vulnerable and disadvantaged backgrounds. This funding includes a one-off universal £650 million catch up premium for the 2020 to 2021 academic year to ensure that schools have the support they need to help all pupils make up for lost teaching time. School allocations are calculated on a per pupil basis.
Schools should use this funding for specific activities to support their pupils to catch up for lost teaching over the previous months, in line with the curriculum expectations for the next academic year. The catch-up premium strategy for Prior Heath can be found here: Catch up premium strategy 2020-21 (PDF, 439.83 kB)
In preparation for the event of a localised outbreak of coronavirus or for small numbers of individual pupils being unable to attend school due to themselves or family members displaying Covid symptoms, we have published a Remote Learning Contingency Plan (PDF, 507.2 kB). We ask that you read through the plan carefully so that you are fully informed as to what action we would take in response to the above. Should you require a paper copy of the plan, please inform the school office.
