From Monday 21st September: All children attend full time.
Please note that, due to COVID-19, we will have staggered start and finish times for the Reception classes and other year groups. These are detailed in our letters sent by email on 17th July and 24th August Arrangements for Autumn Term 2020 – letter to parents 24.8.20 (PDF, 326.64 kB)
If you have any questions during the summer or if you haven’t received any of the above information by email, please contact the school office: email@example.com.
Further information will be sent to parents before the start of the Autumn term to clarify the arrangements for September. Please note that all arrangements are subject to change if government guidance is updated.
As a community school, Surrey County Council manage our waiting list. Your child’s name will be placed on the waiting list(s) of any Surrey community or voluntary controlled school which you listed as a higher preference on your application form. Due to increased call volumes following the Covid-19 outbreak, Surrey’s Admissions Team urge you not to call about your waiting list position. They will make primary offers as places become available and if your child is eligible for an offer they will contact you. Your child’s name will remain on the waiting list(s) until the end of the 2020/21 academic year.
Getting Ready for School
Surrey Family Information Service have produced a “Getting ready for School (PDF, 1007.42 kB)” booklet for families whose children are starting primary school. This booklet contains information about:
- Applying for school
- Things to think about in the weeks before school
- At school
- Time for parents/carers
Visiting the school – information for prospective parents:
Usually, between September and January each year we run “talk and tour” sessions with our Headteacher. These are for small groups of prospective parents who have children starting school in the Reception year group the following September. Unfortunately, due to the current unprecedented circumstances, we will not be able to run talk and tour sessions for parents or hold an Open morning during the autumn term 2020. We hope to produce a video tour of the school during September which will be available to view on the website from the end of September/early October.
If you are considering sending your child to Prior Heath, you are invited to complete and return the school’s Initial Registration-Form.pdf (PDF, 130.07 kB). This expresses an interest but does not guarantee a place. It will ensure that we contact you during the Autumn Term of the school year before your child is due to start school with information from Surrey County Council about the application process for your child’s intake. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to email the school office: firstname.lastname@example.org
