School Meals

The Government funds free school lunches for all children in Reception, Year 1 and Year 2 in state-funded schools in England.  Children are entitled to receive a hot two course nutritious meal at lunch time.  School meals are provided by Twelve15 (formerly called Commercial Services), part of Surrey County Council.  Their commitment to serving fresh and healthy meals cooked from scratch by their professional catering team using fresh local and organic produce has once again been recognised by the Soil Association with the award of the Gold Food for Life Catering Mark.

The quality of school meals is rigorously monitored to ensure they are nutritionally balanced.  Twelve15 do not use undesirable additives, flavourings, colourings, genetically modified foods or mechanically reclaimed meat. Therapeutic and religious dietary requirements are supported and considered on completion of a special diets request form which is available from the school office. In addition to the main meal option, there is a vegetarian and jacket potato option every day.   Twelve15’s School Meals Guide can be found here  (PDF, 8.05 MB)and further information is available on their website
